Action Items

2019-20 Calendar: The Board approved the final calendar for the 2019-20 school year.  The calendar is viewable on the district website.

MS Irrigation: At the December 13, 2016, BoE meeting, the Board agreed to rename the Middle School Football field in honor of former Coach William Koenig contingent upon the memorial group’s ability to raise funds for a much-needed irrigation system.  The group recently reached their monetary goal and in return, the Board approved a contract with Ryan Lawn and Tree for an updated irrigation system.  More details on the Board agenda.

Audit Bids: The Board approved a contract with Conrad & Higgins LLC to provide the Annual Audit and other services for the 2018-19 school year.

Discussion Items

Staffing Overview: Dr. Kurre and Dr. Mattson discussed the current budget and FTE totals district-wide along with the anticipated increase in insurance rates and what effect they are having on our budget totals.

Maintenance Vehicle: Our Maintenance Department is down a truck. The cost to fix it is more than the worth of the vehicle. The Maintenance Director will be seeking bids for a replacement.

Grant Applications: Dr. Kurre approved Grant Applications for a Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation Classroom Grant, The Olga Lengyel Institute for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights/Toli NYC Summer Institute, a Savannah School District Foundation Grant, a Missouri State Parks Transportation Grant, and an Innovative Teacher Mini-Grant Application.  None of the applications required matching district funds.

Program Review

The Board reviewed the current Technology programs.  Check the Board agenda for more information.
