Savannah High School’s National Honor Society is sponsoring a blood drive Thursday, April 15, in the high school's library. The blood drive is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for the students and teachers at the high school and it will be open to the public from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
“I am so glad we're able to hold the Blood Drive at school this year. Because of Covid, their supplies are very low and I am proud that our school is able to help fill that need,” NHS sponsor Mrs. Melissa Ross said.
NHS urges people to come and donate due to the region's dangerously low blood supply. They are in desperate need for donors. They understand people's desire to be health conscious this year, so they are taking extra precautions to keep the donors safe during the COVID-19 pandemic while donating.
If you have any questions or concerns about your eligibility to donate please call 1-(800)-688-0900. The National Honor Society hopes to see you there.
