Today our team clenched our 23rd MEC Championship!
The format looked a lot different this year, but after 7 rounds and a tie breaker, our team pulled through victorious. While we played as a whole team and each of the guys contributed in their own way, we chose Gabe Boyer as our All-Conference player. Gabe ultimately was the only player to answer the game winning question correctly, clenching our victory.
In a year unlike any other, it’s nice to have this little piece of normalcy in our schedule. I’m so proud of the hard work our team put in today, their flexibility with the game and their ability to work together to make this goal a reality.
Congratulations to the following wrestlers who are advancing to state!
Gage Schottel, sophomore, 1st in weight class 106.
Bryson Damgar, sophomore, 3rd in weight class 113.
Chance Phillips, sophomore, 3rd in weight class 132.
