"Dear Sophomore and Senior Parents & Students,
Due to the school being closed for the time being, we have been working with Jostens on alternative ways to get your Jostens orders delivered to you. Jostens has offered to provide a "Drive Through" delivery service for our school. They are going to be in our school parking lot Wednesday, April 1st from 11:00 am - 1:00 PM only, to deliver your class jewelry.
If you are paid in full, then all you need to do is show up and receive your items.
If you still owe money, then you can pay online ahead of time at their website: https://orders.jostens.com/viewLogin.mvc You will need your user ID and passcode that is located on your invoice. If you have lost that information, please email us at korte.office@jostens.com and we can send it to you.
You can also pay your balance at the delivery with Cash, Money Order or Debit/Credit Card.
This will be your only opportunity to pick up your class jewelry from them in person without having to pay to have them shipped, so please make the proper arrangements to be there.
If you have any questions for Jostens, please send them an email at korte.office@jostens.com."

After collaboration with area health authorities on COVID-19 the Savannah R3 schools will extend the closure through April 24th. For more information please read the March 27th District update https://www.smore.com/pb0zs or check the District website.

Due to the recent closure of the schools and district facilities and all activities the NHS blood drive on March 24th has been canceled.

I will be sending out an email and phone message with information regarding at-home learning opportunities for all SHS students Monday afternoon, 3/23/2020. Please know that we are continuously working to make the best of this very difficult situation. I know that many students and parents have questions. Our district leaders and our building leadership team are working to find answers to these difficult questions. As we have more information to share it will be made available as soon as possible. Please continue to be patient and understanding. We are so very grateful for our supportive student body, parents, and community!
-- Mrs. Sarah Portenier, SHS Principal

Thank you FCA for coming to speak with us and providing breakfast for us this morning at our PD meeting.

Ms. Westfall's and Mrs. Pollard's classes wrote and made cards to the Marines. Mrs. Pollard's Marine daughter sent these pictures back. The excitement of the Marines with the cards is pretty cool. #SHSProud

Mr. Jeff Urbin, an education specialist with the FDR Library and Museum gave a presentation to the US History classes today on the Great Depression and the New Deal.
