Ancient Egypt came to life in 6th grade! 🐫📜 To wrap up their unit, students selected three different projects from a wide menu of options—everything from vision boards and songs to research papers, artifacts, maps, and timelines. Each project explored a different topic connected to Ancient Egypt.
The results? A room full of learning about mummies, pharaohs, pyramids, Egyptian gods, the Nile River, and more—all brought to life through student creativity. Students then participated in a gallery walk, leaving encouraging sticky-note comments for their classmates and celebrating each other's work.
Hands-on learning + creativity + peer feedback = a pretty awesome way to wrap up a unit! #SR3Family #WeAreSR3

We're throwing it back with a Savage Alum AND retired SR3 staffer! Can you name her? Bonus points if you know what year she graduated, AND when she retired.

Mrs. Whittington gathered duplicate copies so students can check out the same title as a friend — and they are ALL IN. We’re seeing mini book clubs, afternoon reading hangouts, and conversations sparked by great stories. Turns out, when you mix good books with good friends, magic happens. 💛
Now we want to hear from you:
📖 What book would YOU have checked out with your best friend in middle school?
OR
📚 What book do you think every middle schooler should read with a friend?
Drop your picks in the comments — we might just add them to our list! 👇#SR3Family #WeAreSR3

Work where your kids learn. Serve where your family belongs. We’re hiring school custodians to join the SR3 Family.
Behind every great school day is a team that keeps our buildings clean, safe, and ready for learning. If you take pride in your work and want to be part of a team that makes a difference behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you.
As an added benefit, SR3 employees have the opportunity to enroll their children in our district (space permitting), making it possible to work where your family learns and grows.
Know someone who would be a great fit? Help us spread the word.

Of the 16 area students selected as honorees and 8 finalists, three were from SHS — an incredible testament to the strength of the #SR3Family.
Congratulations to Carlton Crumb, Cole Schweizer, and Jack Roth
Being chosen for this recognition places these young men among the very best in our region, but that was no surprise to us. We are proud of the way they represent our school, our staff, and our community.
Savage excellence continues to shine. 💛 #SR3Family #WeAreSR3

By modeling atoms, molecules, and extended structures, students are exploring how individual particles connect, how molecules form, and how repeating patterns create the structures that make up the world around us. With each bond they build, they’re testing ideas, adjusting their models, and figuring out how structure influences properties.
Big concepts feel a little less abstract when you can build them, hold them, and see how they fit together.
There’s a lot of thinking happening around those lab tables — and it’s exciting to watch.
Science is alive and well in 8th grade. 💛 #SR3Family #WeAreSR3

We’re hiring a District Receptionist — the first voice, the first smile, and often the first experience families have with SR3.
If you’re professional, organized, welcoming, and take pride in representing something bigger than yourself, this could be your next chapter.
We also have several openings across the district for those looking to be part of the SR3 Family.
